This is a great cymbal stand! I was very impressed with it. It is a three section stand, with very thick tubing and a nice sturdy tripod that can spread way wide if you want it to. I was also impressed with the spring-loaded "gearless" tilter. For all of it's well built sturdiness, it is surprisingly lightweight. It was lighter than my Yamaha 600 series cymbal stand (Yamaha's lightest model), but the Sound Percussion stand had much thicker tubing and a better tripod, but with less weight! You can't go wrong with this stand: Sturdiness, quality, yet lighter than most other cymbal stands. Honestly, just by looking at this stand, you think it would weigh twice as much as it does, but it surprisingly doesn't (and I mean that in a very good way)! This is just as sturdy and has as thick of tubing as those Pulse stands that MF used to sell, but weigh about 50% less! I highly recommend this stand to anyone!
