The Mixes is a two-disc condensation of the original Sony Drums from the Big Room. All royalty-free stereo files that can be added to your digital audio workstation and mixed to your heart and soul's content. It'll give you a good snippet of what its bigger predecessor contained, but don't feel cheated. The Mixes has complete multitrack breakouts for two unique sessions not included in the box set, as well as extensive interviews and photographs.


In 2005, Grammy-winning producer Greg Ladanyi (Jackson Browne, Don Henley, Toto) and world-class drummer Steve Ferrone (Eric Clapton, Duran Duran, Tom Petty) entered the now defunct O'Henry Studios where the likes of Macy Gray, Lyle Lovett, and Los Lobos worked on albums, as well as the scores for movies like "The Matrix" and "Passion of the Christ" were recorded. The two music masters captured hundreds of 24-bit multitrack drum loops that became Sony Creative Software's Drums from the Big Room. The loops and samples span 5 genres-rock, pop, jazz, R&B, and reggae-as played on vintage kits in a world-class recording environment.
