It's probably on sale because it's not exactly gearless and it comes with instructions for a kick pedal, but....It's simple, really well made and the rubber Gibraltar uses on the basket and feet is awesome. It absorbs the shock and makes overall playing way better. And you get a refrigerator magnet!
